9/15/21, Madison, Wisonsin - Two regattas were hosted in the MCSA this past weekend after nearly two years without collegiate racing in the Midwest due to the covid-19 pandemic. The University of Wisconsin held their annual Fall Fury Regatta on Lake Mendota. After being in postponement for two hours waiting for wind, the conditions were perfect and all 14 teams in attendance were able to get seven races off in the two day regatta. The University of Michigan placed third and the University of Wisconsin’s two teams won both first and second. Meanwhile, at Action Up, hosted by the University of Miami, six teams there were able to get nine races off on Acton Lake. In first place was the University of Cincinnati, followed by Michigan State University in second, and finally Ohio University in third. The MCSA could not have asked for better conditions to kick off the regatta season after the two year long hiatus and the teams are very happy to be able to sail together again!
