NEISA Teams of the Week, Spring 2025, Week 5


Providence, RI – 3/30/25 – No April fool’s joke here! For the 4th time this season, the Yale Bulldogs are the NEISA Women’s Team of the Week for their win at the Dellenbaugh Team Race hosted by Brown. This weekend, they sailed their lineup of senior skippers, Mia Nicolosi ‘25, Carmen Cowles ‘25, and Emma Cowles ’25, with crews Ximena Escobar ’25, Sarah Moeder ’26, Julia Miller ’26, and Jessi Avila-Shah ’26. The Bulldogs finished the weekend with a record of 13-2, coming out atop most of the top women’s teams in the country including Stanford, Brown, Harvard, Cornell, and College of Charleston, among others. The Bulldog women remain undefeated at regattas on the season, with a total number of race losses still in the single digits. 

Boston, MA - 3/30/25 – For their winning performance at the Marchiando Trophy - Red Regatta, the Boston College Eagles have been named the NEISA Open Team of the Week. After finishing 4th at the Jan Friis Team Race last weekend, the Eagles came back with vengeance this weekend, clinching the win over some of their biggest rivals this season – Roger Williams University and Stanford University. The team of 9 sailors finished the event with a record of 18-3, three race wins ahead of the second-place team, Roger Williams. Congratulations to skippers Peter Busch ’26, Michael Kirkman ’25, Jack Redmond ’26, and crews Sara Schuman ’25, Brendan Peary ’27, Matt Budington ’25, Caroline Sibilly ’26, Lanie Ferrarone ’28, and Nick Budington ’25 on their victory.
