*** Sophia Reineke is the Women’s Sailor of the Week ***

Boston, MA - 9/18 - 19/21 – Boston College’s Sophia Reineke ’22 is this week’s Women’s Sailor of the Week. After only 2 races were sailed on Saturday in light breeze, Sunday brought more consistent wind and eight races were completed. Reineke was able to string together an impressive 17 points across 10 races. She won six of the races and never placed outside the top three. Reineke’s win solidified her spot in the Singlehanded Nationals at the end of October, the rest of the NEISA berths will be determined by the selection committee later this Fall.
*** Connor Nelson is the Coed Sailor of the Week ***

Boston, MA - 9/18 - 19/21 – The Brown Bears’ Connor Nelson ’24 also sailed an impressive qualifying event, finishing 10 races with 17 points, never finishing outside of the top three and winning four of the 10 races. Congratulations to Nelson and Reineke for qualifying for the Singlehanded National Championships later this Fall!
Around the Conference
Harvard’s won the Nicholas Barnett Trophy hosted by Bowdoin.
The Yale Bulldogs won the Regis Trophy and the Hatch Brown Trophy hosted by Boston University and MIT respectively.
The Tufts Jumbos won their home event the Tufts Invitational.
