Medford, MA - 3/23/26: The Yale Bulldogs have been awarded The NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week honors for their victory at the Duplin Women’s Team Race. The Bulldogs’ 13-3 record earned them first place at this hyper competitive event. The regatta was completed with one full round robin, a top eight, and a sail off for third place. After the first round robin the Bulldogs were in a five-way tie for first place. They rose to the occasion by sailing to a 7-0 record on Sunday in the top eight round, claiming them the victory. The Bulldogs were led by starters Carly Kieding ‘29, Sarah Moeder ‘26, Dorothy Mendelblatt ‘28, Julia Miller ‘26, Elle Sykes ’27 and Ella Benedetto ‘29. Clara Díaz Suárez ‘28 took over for Ella Benedetto ‘29 in 6 of the races in the initial round robin and three of the races from the top eight.
Cambridge, MA - 3/23/26: The Harvard Crimson have been awarded the NEISA Open Sailors of the week honors for their victory at The Friis Trophy. The Crimson started out the first round robin with a 7-1 record tying them with the Stanford Cardinal. The Crimson rose to the occasion in the second round robin over both Saturday and Sunday sailing a record of 8-0 and a 2-1 record in the final four sealing their win. The Crimson were represented by Justin Callahan ‘26, Aidan Pesce ‘26, Mitchell Callahan ‘26, Michelle Chung ‘28, Robby Meek ‘27 and Jacob Posner ‘29. Christina Chen ‘27 took over for Michelle Chung ‘28 after the first race in the first round robin.
