2022 NEISA Student Leadership Award
Jack Valentino ’22 of Bates College has been named the recipient of the NEISA Student Leadership Award for 2022. Most recently as an ungraduated, Jack served as the Vice President of NEISA. During his tenure, Jack focused on leading the development of the National Invitational Regatta for teams that have not been able to compete at the spring fleet race nationals. The invitational was a huge success with 17 teams from all over the country competing including Bates College with Jack competing. Jack is also their team captain. In 2020, Jack was the NEISA Secretary and was also heavily involved with the creation of TIDE; The Inclusivity, Diversity, and Equity Taskforce with Preston Anderson, the 2021 recipient of this award. Jack continues to work incredibly hard for NEISA and he has been nominated by NEISA for the 2022 James Rousmaniere Award which recognizes extraordinary achievement by an undergrad within the ICSA.
